Lesson 13 Description:
Photoshop CC has strengthened its video editing and animation capabilities over the years. Although it's more of an add-on than a fully featured video editing suite, it does have the advantage of allowing you to use many of the Photoshop filters and adjustment layers on video as well as still images. In this week's lesson, you'll learn the basics of video editing and frame animation in Photoshop! Let's get started! Lights! Camera! Action!

- 13-1 will teach you how upload, edit, and export video in Photoshop. Exercise A13-01 is one of three exercises presented to you this week. You'll choose one of the three to submit for lesson 13. A13-01 is about creating your own video in Photoshop! You are encouraged to use your lesson 13 choice as your portfolio exhibit 10 challenge.
- 13-2 will teach you how create an animated GIF file in Photoshop. Exercise A13-02 is one of three exercises presented to you this week. You'll choose one of the three to submit for lesson 13. A13-02 is about creating your own animated GIF in Photoshop! You are encouraged to use your lesson 13 choice as your portfolio exhibit 10 challenge.
- 13-3 will teach you how create a cinemagraph in Photoshop. Exercise A13-03 is one of three exercises presented to you this week. You'll choose one of the three to submit for lesson 13. A13-03 is about creating your own cinemagraph in Photoshop! You are encouraged to use your lesson 13 choice as your portfolio exhibit 10 challenge.
- 13-4 will teach you how create animated titles in Photoshop.
- 13-5 covers the principle of rhythm in art and design. Work on the lesson 13 portfolio assignment and critique discussions in Canvas! Browse through the just for fun section. The IDEA section is there to help spark ideas for your portfolio exhibits.

Portfolio exhibit 10 challenge:. Can you create a design that includes an animation, or a video you've made in Photoshop?
For your portfolio exhibit, focus on creativity and design! Come up with a graphic design that demonstrates your use of these new animation skills you've learned in the lessons! The IDEA section sections in every lesson contain ideas on how you can put creativity, design, and the tools you've learned into practice. When you've completed your portfolio exhibit, please do the following:

- Save your portfolio exhibit photoshop file as Portfolio-10_Your_Name.PSD, and submit it here in Canvas.
- Export your portfolio exhibit as a web friendly mp4 video or GIF image and add it to your online portfolio, along with the accompanying description, citations, etc. (See Portfolio in the Weekly Lessons) for more detail and instructions on this).
- When you submit your portfolio exhibit in Canvas, also put the URL for your online exhibit in assignment comments.
