A11-03: Creating seamless patterns in Photoshop
Objectives:
Learn:
Please go through the following PDF tutorial on creating seamless patterns in Photoshop! |
Apply: Exercise A11-03 - Challenge - Create your own seamless pattern and share it with the rest of the class!
Apply what you've learned in A11-02 and A11-03! Create your own seamless pattern. Export it as an Adobe .PAT file named A11-03_Your_Name.pat. Now create a folder named A11-03_Your_Name and put your pattern file in it. In Photoshop, create a new file that's 1500x1500 pixels at 72 DPI. Unlock the background layer, and then apply your pattern to it. Save your file as a jpg image named A11-03_Your_Name.jpg. Add that file to your folder along with your pattern file. You'll submit the entire folder as part of week 11's exercise files assignment. Once I've received all the class patterns, I'll zip all the folders into a compressed archive file and send them to you in Canvas! Create some great patterns to share! Here is my A11-03 exercise example you can download and look at. You can see what I'm asking for on this exercise.
