Instructor feedback. Good image, Abbigail. If the message you're trying to get across is "endless sea and sky" it works perfectly. If the subject is the lighthouse, the a crop in would work better.
Instructor feedback; Duplicated the red channel, and applied image to strengthen it further.
Ashley - nice workflow and design. I imagine each of the steps link to further instructions?
Instructor feedback: the bottom text seems busy. Here's another suggestion.
Instructor feedback. Claire, look at the channels. You could basically get what you wanted in 2 clicks.
Then, if you duplicate the blue channel, you can do some amazing things using the calculations command where you can mix channels even further!
If you wanted to minimize the freckles, you'd use the red channel and work with that.
Brock - a powerfully charged image. Nice work!
David: Clean, clear design. Well done!
Sage: Clean, clear design - well done!
Instructor feedback. Simple gradients can make areas look more classy and professional. The brown stripe detracts from your image.
Cody: Awesome. Isn't it amazing what a black & white conversion will do? Sorry Penelope is sick.
Emily: well done! Powerful in black and white!
Jeff: Good conversion and focus!
Instructor feedback: There's some beautiful secondary lighting happening on the left side of her face. I'd strengthen that and maybe let more of the blue spectrum predominate.
Kevin: Nice work on the animated GIF. You'll have the whole class wanting to do this. We'll be covering animated GIFs and cinemagraphs later in the course.
Mattie: an excellent design. You might want to play around with color choices and see what you get.
Rosanna: Very creative! I'm impressed!
Instructor feedback - just a little dodge tool work to brighten the face more.
Instructor feedback: Try for more variation in value in the foreground.
Instructor feedback. The broken text is a little hard to read. I'd also use camera raw or adjustment layers to warm the image some.
Kaitlin: Excellent composition.
Spencer: Good Photoshop work!
Instructor feedback: Creating a beam of light focuses on her lovely face.
Instructor feedback: This is awesome, Rod. My only suggestion would be a little kerning between letters - particularly the "Fr" in Friend.
Instructor feedback: You need more variety in the values in the foreground.
Instructor feedback: I chose the red channel of your photo and used that - with a little dodge tool on your face to help lighten and match to the boy's face. I used a mask to bring back the darker background.
